Overview:

The Greater Chennai Corporation had called for logo submissions from the citizens of Chennai for the Chennai Smart City project. 30 submissions were made online and updated on the GCC website. Of the 30, 7 were shortlisted for voting by the public.

Selection of Logo:

The winning submission was by Heena Chauhan (a resident of Kilpauk, Chennai). Heena is a creative person with experience in brand design, website design and development and app development. The selected design has three color bands and a dotted band which encircle towering grey blocks.

As per the submission by the designer- “The logo is designed keeping all the aspects of a Smart City in mind. The green band represents Safety, Growth, Environment. The blue band represents Stability and Intelligence. The grey band represents Sophisticated Technology.”
