CHENNAI: Very shortly, going to the cinemas or beach with your family in the big SUV will be less of a nightmare. Finding a parking spot in the city’s main localities would be a breeze or at least you would know whether a spot will be available or not using city corporation’s parking app.
Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC)’s mobile app-based parking ‘GCC Smart Parking’ is ready for roll-out any time now. “The final financial audit is under way, after which it would be launched giving 4,000 car parking spots in the city, also known as equivalent car space (ECS),” a corporation official said.
