Anjaneyar Koil Kulam
Anjaneyarkoilkulam is a temple pond owned by Revenue Department and maintained by GCC. Water in the pond is partly filled and found yellowish in colour. There is no inlet and outlet to the pond. Fishes not found but birds are seen flying around the pond. Pond is not connected to any upstream and downstream water sources. Catchment area is not connected to the pond. Pond gets water storage only through monsoon rains. Benefits from the implementation of this project include improvement of water quality by diversion of sewage discharge and providing constructed wetland and floating wetland system. Due to de-silting, water storage will increase and made available throughout the year. Fish culture will be developed. With proper counseling and guidance by the GCC Engineers, the people of the area will take care of the pond and hence, water body will be protected. The pond has been restored under the Chennai Smart City project funds.

The pond is located at North Latitude 13 02'11.80" and East Longitude 80 9 '33.57". Porur village, Valasaravakkam zone, Chennai Tamil Nadu 600087
