Classic Classic farms or Subramanya Tank is located at Sholinganallur. The tank is located in a Residential Locality of Chennai Metropolitan city along the IT corridor, south of Chennai. The rapid growth of Sholinganallur's economy, population and infrastructure can be attributed to Information Technology business Parks and dedicated Special Economic Zones (SEZ). Sholinganallur is surrounded by other IT based suburbs such as Siruseri, Perungudi and Taramani. Tamil Nadu Government's TIDCO is building a Financial City in Sholinganallur to house global financial corporations. Sholinganallur was annexed in to Chennai Corporation in 2011, and it is the last (200th) ward of Chennai city, administered as a part of Chennai Corporation. Classic Farm Tank is surrounded by residential areas on four sides. The Tank abuts Model School road on the northern side and mixed residential use on the eastern and northern side. Surrounding the Tank, numerous settlements have sprouted out along the Tank boundaries and especially in the Eastern & northern end. Classic Farms Tank has a local catchment and intercepted catchment. The pond has been restored under the Chennai Smart City project funds.
