As per the site visit, the lake abuts School road on the western side and residential use on the eastern side. Sappatikuttai residential areas form the eastern & western parts with School Road forming the southern boundary & School Road leading to Sholinganallur main road. Sappatikuttai is located in the midst of recently developed residential areas in Sholinganallur. These recent developments and human interventions have resulted in altering/bringing up changes in the original area of Sappatikuttai. Rain water from the local catchment is the main source.
