Jaladianpet is a census town in Kanchipuram district in the state of Tamil Nadu. It's a neighbourhood and a fast-growing residential area in South Chennai. Located in proximity to the IT industry in OMR, Chennai's central business districts and the Automobile hub in GST road, Pallikkaranai became a part of Chennai Corporation in July 2011. According to a 2012 report by global property consultant Knight Frank, the neighbourhood has emerged as India's 11th largest destination for investment in the residential real estate, in the list of 13-top residential destinations in the country from an investment point of view, where housing prices are expected to increase by 93 percent over the period of five years. Vannan Kuttai is surrounded by mixed residential areas on northern and eastern sides. As per the Master plan document, the Tank abuts Vivekanandher 3rd cross street on the eastern side. The pond has been restored under the Chennai Smart City project funds.
